Norfolk Homes Ranked “TOP PERFORMER” in standards by Energy Star
ANN ARBOR, MI -
Norfolk Homes received “Top Performer” designation by Energy Star for models in three of its Tennessee communities:
Woodmont,
Belshire, and
King's Crossing.
This national energy performance rating is an external benchmark that allows energy managers to assess how efficiently their buildings use energy. The rating system’s 1–100 scale helps to recognize how a building is performing — a rating of 50 indicates average energy performance, while a rating of 75 or better indicates top performance. This rating is an addition to the current recognition Norfolk has received for Energy Star qualification in Michigan communities.
Norfolk Homes and Energy Star look Behind The Walls at what really MATTERS:
-
ADDED CONFIDENCE: You don’t have to know all the details of energy-efficient construction. Just look for the government-backed ENERGY STAR label to know your new home is truly efficient.
-
LOWER OWNERSHIP COST: ENERGY STAR qualified homes use substantially less energy for heating, cooling, and water heating-delivering hundreds in annual savings.
-
SMART INVESTMENT: Confidence that your home will have an increasingly valued feature when the time comes to sell.
-
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: Energy used in our homes often comes from the burning of fossil fuels at power plants, which contributes to smog, acid rain, and global warming. Simply put: the less energy we use in our homes, the less air pollution we generate.
We are proud to offer new homes that have earned the ENERGY
STAR® label. ENERGY STAR qualified new homes are substantially more energy
efficient than homes built to the minimum code requirements. Our ENERGY STAR
qualified new homes are independently verified by a third-party Home Energy
Rater to ensure they meet ENERGY STAR energy efficiency guidelines. These homes
are better for the environment and better for you.
