New Home Sales Associate

This is a Base + Commission role

Summary

The new home sales associate is responsible for the sale of new construction for the community(ies) assigned to you.

New Home Sales Associate Essential Functions

· Develop relationships with potential prospects and real estate agents.

· Prepare and oversee the maintenance of the Model you demonstrate.

· Maintains knowledge of the current housing market including surrounding community, market and competition.

· Ensures that paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

· Attends meetings with project manager and customers including pre-construction, pre-drywall and verification walks.

· Meet weekly with sales manager, project managers and production manager at each job site to review job progress and challenges.

· Responsible for maintaining meeting minutes.

· Communicate weekly with clients to answer questions and provide progress on their homes.

· Enter all prospects into CRM on a timely basis and maintain communication.

· Responsible for keeping MLS, marketing materials and Web pages up to date.

· Utilize ERP system to process all contract documents.

· Understand current communities, floor plans and options.

Work Environment

The job operates in a model home at a construction site. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and work at a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which typically involves 40 hours per week. The hours of work and days are Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M; Saturday through Sunday, 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. This position occasionally requires longer hours for client appointments.

Travel

The employee will occasionally be required to travel to the design studio and offsite meetings.

Required Education and Experience

· Valid driver license

· Current automobile insurance

· Must have own vehicle

· Active Michigan Real Estate License Highly preferred if not licensed must be willing to attain one within 2-3 months of hire

Preferred Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

· 3 - 5 years’ experience in new home construction sales preferred
